George, Dennis and I set out from Cadboro Bay to paddle out to Chatham and Discovery Islands. It was a gorgeous “summer in November” day with a nice high tide so we were able to go right into the heart of Chatham Island and visit the “cactus” islet.

is this guy familiar? I was down at cadboro bay having some r&r and as I was coming back from the beach, I saw 3 people come to shore. Reallly nice day for a paddle - great "winter" so far, eh?
yes, that is dennis - I was carrying the back end of the boat!
I guess next time I shouldn't be a creepy stalker and say Hi.. I was running out of light at that point and on the run for some golden hour photos ;). Such a calm day out - how was Baynes? I can't believe how often you guys do these extremely massive circumanvigations of chatham and trial islands! Do you have superpowers or just wits to avoid the currents out there? Anyway.. brilliant blog and sorry I didn't quite get you in the frame!
It was a beutiful calm day - C & D islands are one of my favourite paddles - lots of variety and a nice length you can do anything from an hour or so to three or four.
