October 14th - Piers Island (#73)

I joined Tom and 15 other SISKA paddlers for a paddle to Piers Island from Amherst. Our original plan was to go to Rum, but the forecast was a bit dodgy so we decided to play it safe. We went through the Little group, around Coal and then Pym, Knapp and Piers Island. We stopped for a lunch break at the community park on Piers and took shelter from the light rain that persisted on and off all day. I think this may have been my first rainy paddle in six months! It was good to have had a hot drink handy for lunch. A nice day on the water. Thanks to Olivier for the ride!
