February 15th - Chatham Islands (#17)

Pete, Gordon (visiting from Australia) and I set out for an afternoon paddle to show Gordon a bit of local paddling. We went over to Chatham only to find the sluice was quiet. However, by the time we were heading back across Baynes, the current and wind had picked up enough to make it interesting – I even got one short surf ride. It was a very nice 2 hour paddle.
