December 15th - Thetis Lake (#84)

Bill, Monica and I went for a short paddle on Thetis Lake before the SISKA Christmas Party at six mile. The proposed cub paddle in Esquimalt harbour was cancelled due to the wind forecast, but we decided to go for a protected paddle anyway.  It was neat to explore Thetis lake again. The water level was quite high. After the paddle we went to 6 mile pub and had a great lunch with almost 70 other SISKA members.

September 7th - Rolling at Thetis Lake (#858)

Paulo and I joined James and Sheila for a rolling practice session at Thetis Lake. It was worth the wait for a good spot! It was nice to do some rolling again after a month's break! James continues do do amazingly well!
No track plot for this trip since I left the GPS at Home... but here is a rough guess...

December 18th - Thetis Lake (#117)

Monica and I joined Bill and Heather and six others (Michael, Joy, Lisa, Diane, Olivier and Liz)  for a "plan B" paddle in Thetis lake. Conditions were sufficiently windy that we cancelled the club's relaxed paddle across Esquimalt Harbour, but a few of us decided to get our boats wet anyway since we had them out! In Thetis lake, conditions were good and we had a nice paddle.

September 18th - Thetis Lake (#90)

I assisted Joanne in giving a PC Intro to Kayaking course at Thetis lake. The weather ended up being nicer than the forecast and we did not see rain. Thetis was nice and warm for rolling and it was a nice change to paddle in fresh water!
