Jan 13th - Devil Island (#1)

My first paddle of the year was with a guest on the National Geographic Explorer. It was a beautiful day and there was some nice ice and a few seals around. I also got to paddle up close to the edge of the glacier. Which has clearly receded based on the plot.
Since I was away in the Antarctic and Galapagos from mid-December to mid_March, I did not get too much paddling in!

January 3rd - Devil Island, Antarctica (#1)

I managed to get out for a short paddle at Devil Island in the Weddell Sea off the eastern tip of the Antarctic peninsula and realize a dream of paddling in the Antarctic. I have now been able to paddle in both the Arctic and the Antarctic within the span of a year! It was great to paddle amongst icebergs and penguins!
