September 5th - Fulford harbour (#90)

Monica and i set out for a paddle from a beach near Kellie and Eric’s in Fulford Harbour. We went over to visit the Jackson Islets (which are called “eyelets” on the Oysteractcher conservation sign!) and then over to Russel Island and then back over towards Eleanor Point.

July 12th - Southey Point (#64)

Kellie, Ros, GeorgeE, GeorgeF, Joanie and I set out from Southey Point in beautiful conditions for Tent Island as the conditions towards Wallace were quite windy. I was paddling the Tahe Greenland again. By the time we reached Tent Island, we felt the wind was beginning to rise so thought it was wise to paddle back to Saltspring while we could and then spent the rest of our paddle along the shore of Saltspring. There were some good waves and wind on the east side of Southey point and I went to play in the waves in the TG. It performed very well. We had lunch on a beautiful while shell sand beach and then decided to head back so as to make a reasonable ferry. Another delightful day on the water!
