July 19th - Gordon river/Port Renfrew (#59)

I went for a morning paddle in the inflatable Scamper to check out the channel at low tide. There was less than six inches of water in the main channel, so no heading out at that time in the C-dory! Lots of bald eagles about as well as one turkey vulture. It was nice to be out in the quiet misty morning. I also paddled around the marina to check out all the other boats! My track is shown aout 20 ft to the east of where it should be on the image - I did not padle through docks!

June 15 - Fairy Lake - #29

I went for an afternoon paddle around Fairy Lake in my inflatable kayak to take a break from cottage maintenance! It was a bit of a blustery afternoon, but not too bad inland on the lake. I took some time to check out the Fairy Lake "bonsai" tree that has been growing on a log there for years.I had some nice views of belted kingfishers and red-winged blackbirds.

May 17/18 - Clark and Sucia Islands (#45)

Monica and Jenny and I went over to the San Juans for the weekend and used the Scamper II inflatable to go to and from the shore and the C-dory. I figured that I clocked about a total of 2 km as each run usually required two trips to get the three of us ashore or aboard! Fantastic weather and the Scamper works quite well as a tender/dinghy for the c-dory.

May 17-20 - Cadboro Bay and San Juan Island (#32)

Monica and I used our west marine inflatable double as a tender for our trip in Natural C-lection to a C-dory gathering in Friday harbour. The inflatable worked well as a tender as it was easy to manoeuver onto the roof and to get in and out of etc. I think it may become our tender of choice for taking with the C-Dory.
I did a couple of trips from Killarney to the C-dory (one leg did not get tracked) as well as a ship to shore trip at Jones Island State Park and a paddle around Guss Island in Garrison Bay.
