While I was in the Canadian Arctic with Lindblad/National Geographic as a naturalist this summer, I managed to get out for two nice short paddles. One was in Buchan Gulf on Baffin Island and the other was in Muskox Fiord on Ellesmere Island. paddling in the high Arctic was pretty spectacular (as was travelling around the area!). The landscape is starkly beautiful and the lack of vegetation makes it easy to see the geology!
